Decent food.. service was a little slow and drinks are "small". Not the best bang for your buck in Grand Rapids...

Got to watch the Red Wings in game 3 of the Stanly Cup finals here. Standing room only, but fun for sure. Huge beers at a reasonable price! Considering it is inside the high priced Amway Grand hotel, this is a diamond in the rough.

Excellent lunch specials. Typically $5. Great place to spend time while avoiding work.

I feel like this would be the Jetsons' go-to sports bar. They'd dig the neon lights and white tile floors. Me, not so much.

Perfect for watching sports and/or having a drink. Loved the atmosphere!

I would like to give this place a better review, but I no have idea how the food or drinks taste here. I've tried going here on three separate occasions over the last few years, most recently this past Saturday evening, in an attempt to sit in the lower bar area and have a drink or two. I've been here with different companions each time so I know the issue isn't me. I mean, I shower regularly and wear deodorant. But whenever I have been here I have been completely ignored. Not slow service, no service. Wait staff walk past and won't even make eye contact in order to get their attention short of tackling them, which I don't think is legal. This past Saturday we were directed by the hostess to sit wherever we wanted down there. After sitting there for a full twenty minutes with no hint of service whatsoever we got up and left. The place, while busy, was not full, and we were in an area where others seated near us had drinks and wait staff had to nearly trip over us. I would normally chalk this up to a harried ArtPrize weary staff, but this is now the THIRD time this has happened to me here. From now on, if I find myself near the AGP and thirsty for a beer, I will walk to some place that really wants my money.

Stopped by GP Sports after visiting the Gerald Ford Museum. Just wanted something small and a cold beer. Not bad selection of both. Food & drink were quickly ordered. Nice layout, I can see this place becoming packed for a sports event. The food arrived soon, the grilled chicken salad and soup was just what I needed. GP Sports is a nice place to unwind and I assume watch sports.

It's a sports bar hidden in a corner of the Amway Grand Hotel. Nothing is truly remarkable about the place. Sports bar layout (TVs, etc.) is okay, but not ideal. Beer list is disappointing. Food is "meh." Service is average. The only reason to go here is to watch a game that you fear might not be on at other downtown establishments.

We stayed at the Amway a few weeks ago and had lunch here because it was convenient during a conference. I don't know if my expectations were skewed because it is a hotel bar and restaurant, but the food was good (I had never had Gouda in a soup), the prices were reasonable, and the staff was accommodating.

Stopped in here during a conference for a quick lunch between sessions. Was pleasantly surprised to find a robust menu in a straightforward sports bar setting. The staff was quick, responsive, and very helpful. I ordered a Strawberry Salad that was delightfully fruity and well done, with a perfect Lunch size portion. Not much more you can ask for in that.

I was there for a conference and the location was ideal. I had the soup and personal pizza, both were very good. The crust on the pizza was nice and crispy with ample toppings just the way I like it.

Disappointment thy name is GP Sports. We went there with a small group, looking for a tasty, quick, reasonably priced dinner prior to a show at DeVos Hall. The heart of any resturant is the food. Have all the TV's you want but if the food is bad then you don't really have a restaurant. The food at GP Sports was not totally blah. Nothing tasty. The group generally agreed that we could have stayed home and had ham sandwiches and enjoyed it more. The duo dip was a rip. It was too expensive and fairly boring. Potato wedges were not very good. So we did not get the tasty part. Service was poor...We told our server we had a limted time due to the theater tickets. It seemed to go in one ear and out the other. Service was slow and I literally had to stand up and chase down the server at one point. So the quick part was not there. As for the price, it was not too expensive but the food was bad and the service slow so the price no longer mattered. My sense is that this place probably gets travelers who do not want to leave the hotel. As a local, I probably wont return.

Great sports atmosphere, great food choices right inside the Amway Grand Hotel. Reasonable prices and friendly wait staff!

The dining spot of our conference crew. The decor is interesting. It has several TV's like many sports bars but this one has them in the bathrooms as well because you know thats what women want to do while popping a squat, watch unlimited sports center... The service is ok. Not poor but they didn't seem to be attentive, not as other places I've gone. There were many tables being emptied out as we arrived and I noticed many of them had not been cleared for a long time. I assumed they were understaffed. Ordering and waiting seemed to be a very long process. There was about 11 of us so I can understand some delay but this was stretching it. We were all too tired to make a big fuss. I ordered the buffalo wings. I regret this decision not because they weren't tasty but because my cohorts had much more appealing meals. I was reluctant to trust sports bar pizza or salmon but from what I saw I was missing out. My boneless wings were lightly coated in buffalo sauce. Not enough sauce for me. They were filling and hot but I'd rather try something else on my next visit. Our service was efficient and responsive.

Ate there twice while we were staying in the hotel (Amway Grand Plaza Hotel). We all thought the food was good. When we dined the first time we ate at a table in front of the big screen. Tables are placed pretty close together so we were close to the people next to us. The second time we asked for a booth near the front entry. We enjoyed that much better. Both waitresses were great, we custom ordered our food & they were happy to do that. If in town again we'd eat here again.

Staying in amway on business trip and ate here on Monday during football game. Great atmosphere and staff. Our bartender Madalynn was great and full of info about Grand Rapids. 6 dollar mini pitchers and the best 12 oz my strip I've ever had. I'll be back when in town

Good place to watch football and they have a great selection of local brews. The Asian Chicken Salad is bomb!

Better to stay away. Stayed at the Amway Grand for a hockey tournament. Our team had a team dinner at GP Sports our first night. Although we made reservations, another team that just walked in without reservations ate before our servers even finished taking our team's orders. At one point, one mite hockey player was served his dinner and the server hadn't even finished taking the other team's orders. It took us two hours to eat. Very bad management. Lack luster food. They can't handle big groups.

Stopped in here a couple times while staying at the Amway Grand. Sat down in the lower bar area both times and had a nice experience. Friendly bartenders and some pretty decent food and good beer. Was watching football on both occasions and there is no shortage of TVs. You won't be blown away by the food but it's good for what it is... A sports bar in a hotel.

Lots of tvs and lots of food to choose from for a sports bar. staff was friendly, this is a cool place to hang out.
